Food and grocery expert, IGD has announced the shortlisted entries for the annual Food Industry Awards. Now in their 19th year, the awards provide an opportunity for companies and individuals to gain recognition for excellence across a variety of categories, ranging from sustainability and supply chain excellence, to consumer understanding and social innovation.

TATE & LYLE YOUNG MANAGERS' BUSINESS CHALLENGE FOR UP AND COMING TALENT
For this award young managers are asked to present their thoughts on what characteristics a grocery business will require to survive the economic downturn and likely future environment. They have the chance to win £2,500 and present in front of a panel of industry leaders by demonstrating their ideas and sound business acumen.

ECR UK AWARD FOR SUSTAINABLE DISTRIBUTION

DANONE LEADING EDGE LEADING LIGHT AWARD
Designed to help celebrate remarkable talent in the food and grocery industry, this award recognises those who have gone the extra mile and made a real difference to their company, the industry or to Leading Edge (IGD’s Development Network) during the past year. The winner also receives £2,000 prize money. For this category only, members of Leading Edge can still vote for their choice of winner from the following list of shortlisted candidates until the end of September.
