This month, IGD is launching a series of workshops helping farmers to increase sales and reduce costs in their business.
Each workshop will offer farmers the opportunity to:
- Increase value by understanding consumers better
- Identify at least seven different types of waste in their business to reduce costs
- Receive two months of support from business and industry experts to help ensure maximum benefit can be secured
- Meet other farmers and small business owners and talk about shared experiences
- Take away written guides based on best practice drawn from IGD’s extensive experience of the food industry
Peter Whitehead, Agri-Business Programme Leader, IGD commented: "These workshops are designed to help businesses identify practical ways to increase sales and reduce costs, and each one will be based around real case studies, providing delegates with tools that can be adapted to their own circumstances.
"All the workshops have been specifically designed with the needs of farmers, those with food processing operations and other small food businesses in mind. They are funded by IGD to help farmers and small food businesses increase their profitability."
