A practical one day training course to help you create and manage sales and cost budgets that drive profit for your organisation

This workshop will provide the skills and knowledge you need to create and manage budgets using inputs such as market performance, customer performance, category strategies and promotional forecasts. Using simple language, a qualified accountant and trainer will introduce key concepts, offer advice, and work through examples and case studies with you.

The course will help you understand the financial models of your business and your customers, enabling you to make decisions that will drive your organisation's profits. Plus, you'll learn how to use a range of simple financial techniques that, when applied, will give you the edge in securing incremental profit growth.

This workshop is designed for individuals in Sales, Customer Marketing, Commercial Planning, Brand Marketing and Category Management roles who haven’t had any formal financial training.

  • Know how profit is calculated and the link to your business' balance sheet
  • Better understand the terminology that accountants use

This is an interactive and practical workshop with high levels of discussion and group exercises. Participants will receive a copy of the course handouts, the tutor’s presentation slides, and a glossary of common accounting terms.
